Green and Sustainable

Green Buildings
"Green design and green buildings are a step toward sustainable design and sustainability - and may, honestly, be the best that can be accomplished on a large scale in today's societial context. The need (and demand) for green buildings has become increasingly clear. The means for defning specific goals and measurable achievements for green buildings have also been refined through the development of programs such as the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED; the Building Reaserch Establishment's BREEAM; and Smart Homes, Built Smart, EcoHomes, etc."

US BancorpTower

The US Bancorp Tower, located in downtown Portland, Oregon consists of 42 floors and an estimated 1.1 million square feet of office space, making it the largest office building in Oregon.

Scope of Work

As part of a larger LEED-EB analysis performed by Green Building Services (GBS), MSE conducted a ventilation study for the US Bancorp Tower. The ventilation requirements for over 100 air handling units (AHU's) were calculated using ASHRAE Standard 62-2007.  The results of the study were utilized to meet LEED-EB standards.
